Editorial Rules of the Journal

Every issue of the Journal Oriens Aliter will include from five till seven greater studies; the journal will publish reviews of scholarly works (including scientific memorial volumes and collective monographs) not older than one year and coming up to the overall focus of the journal (culture and history of the Central and Eastern Europe). Editorial policy of the journal also assumes to the future publishing of thematic issues or contributions from scientific colloquiums and conferences dealing with cultural and historic problems of the examined area organized by all guaranteeing institutions.

Oriens Aliter will be a reviewed scientific periodical. Editorial board accepts to the process of review appreciation entirely texts of original scientific studies not being so far published, coming up with formal directions for editing texts provided by editorial board (see directions for authors), and complying with the basic thematic and scientific criteria set on the scholarly publication in the Journal Oriens Aliter.

The handwritings of studies have a recommended extent from ten to twenty standard pages (18.000 – 36.000 marks including footnotes). All scholarly studies will have review in English language to the extent of 10-15 lines (in case of studies written in English the review will be in Russian language).

All handwritings submitted to the process of review appreciation will be anonymously assessed by two external experts for particular specialization who express primarily their opinion to the suitability of the study for publication in the Journal, respectively they recommend the author concrete formal and content changes. All contributors will be acquainted with the decision by e-mail at latest three months from the moment of sending the handwriting to the editorial board.
